It had been awhile since we had done some more adrenaline filled activities so we decided to make a day of it. We first headed out to OGO, a zorbing place.

We first tried the 250m long straight track. Called H20GO both of us were in the zorb along with 40L of warm water. (The zorb is a double skinned inflatable sphere).

The second was even better, this time a 350m long track with twists and turns. (Called SIDEWINDER)

A nice hot tub after the rides, (and to watch others), and we were off to our next activity, white water rafting.

We rafted the Kaituna River just on the east side of Lake Rotorua with a company called Kaitiaki Adventures. The river had amazing steep, narrow, bush clad canyons, 11 rapids and 3 waterfalls. The highest waterfall, the 7m Tutea Falls, is the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world.

First one, piece of cake.

The 7 meter waterfall. We stayed upright, although the group before us didn’t.
