Day 3 in Cairns had us heading off to Green Island. The island is a 45min cruise from Cairns located within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. They had all kinds of activities to do. We were able to do a self-guided island walk, some beach snorkelling, and some beach relaxing to name a few.

We tried to go snorkelling off the beach but the visibility was very poor.IMG_0955

These little birds were everywhere. They had no fear trying to get your food. (We successfully defended ours this time though)IMG_3499

We then went to the Marineland Melanesia Crocodile Habitat. It was extra but we had never seen so many crocodiles and such big ones before. We sat in on a feeding as well.

They also had some tanks with coral.IMG_3516

Amy thought this guy was fake! Bella, a 55 years old getting her tan on, whom didn’t move for a very long time.IMG_3534

The largest living crocodile in captivity. Not only his size is impressive (1300kg / 5.5m) but more so his age at over 110 years old. IMG_3568

Cassius, responsible for so many human disappearance, now living the good life here. He has one leg missing, so many scars on him, and hasn’t been out of water for about 5 years.
