The second day in Melbourne we did another walking tour. Two walking tours actually. We made our way down to the Yarra River and walked along the boardwalk. From there we moved back into the city, walking through the business district and Chinatown. We also went through the Royal Arcade. A cool building & alleyways with many small shops and cafes. We stopped in at a microbrewery for lunch and Daryl sampled a couple.

After lunch we made our way over to the other side of the Yarra River. We stopped in at the Eureka Tower. The tallest building in Melbourne with the “highest view in the southern hemisphere” up on the 88th floor. The view was great but you think they could have designed the glass a little better so that you didnt get reflections in all of you shots. A little moving around, filter changes, and patience was required to help eliminate it. IMG_2782

We then continued our river walk back to where we began the day.

A quick rest at the hostel and then back out for dinner along the river. Italian this time. Later that night we also hopped on the old original Melbourne tram and went for a ride around the city.
